South Africa continues the winning momentum in the ODI too. They have won the first ODI by 5 runs.

Batting first, SA made a target of 304 (303/5) for India with the century of AB de Villiers. India started well but couldn't chase it down. Rohit Sharma scored an amazing 150, but Imran Tahir took his wicket with a return catch. He also took the wicket of Suresh Raina in the same over.

In the final over by Rabada, India needed 11 runs with the captain MS Dhoni on the strike. But he got out in the 4th ball in the last over. India needed 7 runs from just 2 balls. The all-round batsmen Stuart Binny couldn't make it, he also got out in the next ball. India only managed to score 298/7 in 50 overs.

Turning point of the match could be the 47th over bowled by Tahir. India was going to a comfortable win, which ended up in the last over of Tahir. However, Dhoni had the ability to hit big shots, but he didn't hit a six in his innings. The best finisher in the world couldn't finish the game in favour of India. Rohit's knock of 150 runs went in vain as the team India failed to chase the target.

South Africa will be happy for the performance of the young Rabada, who bowled an excellent last over and took two crucial wickets including the wicket of MS Dhoni.

AB de Villiers is the man of the match for his unbeaten 104 from just 73 balls.
